Rockets from Lebanon hit Israel amid Gaza offensive
Several rockets fired from southern Lebanon have hit northern Israel. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack which left two people injured in the coastal city of Nahariya. Lebanese officials said the Israeli military responded with artillery fire directed at an area close to the southern Lebanese village of Marwaheen. There were no immediate reports of casualties. Meanwhile, for a second straight day, Israel has suspended its offensive in the Gaza Strip for three hours to allow humanitarian supplies into the embattled enclave. Israel's campaign to destroy Hamas's capability to launch rockets from Gaza has killed at least 700 Palestinians and wounded more than 3,000, according to Gaza medics. Eight Israeli soldiers have died, while Hamas rocket fire has killed four Israeli civilians.
